چکیده
Anchorages of non-rectangular configuration, though not covered by current design codes, are often used in practice due to functional or architectural needs. Frequently, such anchor groups placed close a concrete edge and subjected shear loads. The anchorages requires engineering judgement no clear rules given the codes standards. In this work, numerical investigations using nonlinear 3D FE analysis code carried out on with triangular hexagonal patterns understand their behavior under A microplane model relaxed kinematic constraint is utilized as constitutive law for concrete. Two different orientations considered both while hole clearance analysis. loading scenarios investigated: (i) applied perpendicular towards edge; (ii) parallel edge. results analyses evaluated terms load-displacement failure modes. comparison made between simulations analytical calculations according approaches. It found that, similar rectangular anchorages, also without clearance, it may be reasonable calculate breakout capacity assuming crack from back row. Furthermore, load investigated loaded twice corresponding

Experimental and Numerical Investigations on the Effect of Rectangular Openings’ Aspect Ratio on Outflow Discharge
Up to now, a few formulas have been suggested by scholars for the amount of discharge from openings, however, the effect of opening's geometry on the amount of discharge has not addressed thoroughly. In this study, to assess the effect of rectangular openings’ aspect ratio on the discharge amount, experimental and numerical investigations have been conducted on the discharge amount from rectang...
متن کاملDynamics of nonlinear rectangular plates subjected to an orbiting mass based on shear deformation plate theory
In this paper, transverse and longitudinal vibration of nonlinear plate under exciting of orbiting mass is considered based on first-order shear deformation theory. The nonlinear governing equation of motion are discretized by the finite element method in combination with Newmark’s time integration scheme under von Karman strain-displacement assumptions. For validation of method and formulation...
متن کاملBuckling Analysis of Rectangular Laminated Composite Plates With An Edge Delamination Under Compressive Load
The buckling analysis of rectangular laminated composite plates with an edge delamination under in-plane compressive loading is performed using the finite element method. Such a plate may be considered as a simplified model of stiffener plates of a stiffened panel. The buckling load and buckling mode are obtained by solving an eigenproblem. In an unconstrained analysis, physically inadmissible ...
متن کاملLeast squares weighted residual method for finding the elastic stress fields in rectangular plates under uniaxial parabolically distributed edge loads
In this work, the least squares weighted residual method is used to solve the two-dimensional (2D) elasticity problem of a rectangular plate of in-plane dimensions 2a 2b subjected to parabolic edge tensile loads applied at the two edges x = a. The problem is expressed using Beltrami–Michell stress formulation. Airy’s stress function method is applied to the stress compatibility equation, and th...
متن کاملBuckling Analysis of Rectangular Functionally Graded Plates with an Elliptic Hole Under Thermal Loads
This paper presents thermal buckling analysis of rectangular functionally graded plates (FG plates) with an eccentrically located elliptic cutout. The plate governing equations derived by the first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) and finite element formulation is developed to analyze the plate behavior subjected to a uniform temperature rise across plate thickness. It is assumed that the ...
